Taege Post Drivers
Taege Post Drivers have been produced in Sheffield, Canterbury, New Zealand for the last 15 years by Taege Engineering Ltd, a farming community based agricultural and general engineering company. Taege Post Drivers have become the preferred choice of many successful fencing contractors, property developers and farmers. With the demands for an extremely strong solid post driver to handle the very rocky conditions in the Canterbury foot hills.
Taege Engineering produced a post driver that can handle these conditions and now there are four drivers in the range, from a basic “Farmer 500” to the fully optioned “Contractor” model. Years of development have produced post drivers that can be termed “state of the art”. Now you can choose to have complete hydraulic control of; monkey, top link, angle link, side shift, end shift, spike carrier/puller, spike/auger turner, flip top mast, auger unit, individually controlled legs, monkey safety catch, and side mount. If you don’t enjoy pulling levers you can be up and running with 1 but if you do, can have up to 12 to choose from.
Some of the development and improvements can be attributed to direct feedback from you the end user. Taege Engineering Ltd value and listen to your ideas and will purpose build units to suit individual needs.
Stu Stokes, a very successful farmer of Russells Flat Canterbury has played a big part in some of the leading features of the Taege Post Drivers particularly the hydraulic lifting mechanism of the spike unit. Taege Engineering Ltd now own the New Zealand patent which is used on many other brands of post driver. Taege Engineering Ltd also build spike units and hydraulic bottom end (Taege’s unique end shift) for many other brands of post driver.
Ken Turpin, a fencing contractor of Oxford Canterbury has owned a “Taege Light Duty Contractor” post driver for a number of years and has driven around 60,000 posts and is very happy with the reliability and strength of this post driver.
There are contractors in the Marlborough region that own up to four Taege post drivers they say “they are the only driver that can handle the extreme demands and conditions in which they work”.
With the popularity continually growing, the demand for a bigger range of driver was evident. The Farmer range was introduced and has proved itself to be equally as successful as the popular Taege “Contractor” range.
