TAEGE VINEYARD DRILLS
Taege Vineyard drills are usually custom built, in widths from 1.0m to 2.3m with single or double hoppers, three point linkage or trailed with electric/hydraulic control.
Some models can have a multi-width combination usually 1.4m – 1.6m.
Taege Vineyard drills are supplied with a Taege RC300 computer control together with a choice of either tine or disc coulters with rotating toolbar and Taege Tine harrows.
SEED HOPPERS
Larger capacity seed hoppers (80L to 405L depending on the model).
More hectares covered between refills.
High seed hoppers give a good fall to the hoses when used on steep terrain.
Seed hoppers (if fitted with second hopper) can be used for either seed or fertilizer or both hoppers can be used for seed or fertilizer therefore doubling your capacity.
Cleaning out the seed hoppers is easy and they are left totally empty within seconds.
SMALL SEED INSERTS
Small seed inserts (optional) they are sealed between each baffle so that you can fill every 2nd or 3rd compartment to give wider spacing when sowing a variety of small seeds.
Easy to empty and remove.
TYNE
Taege vineyard drills have heavy duty 12 X 30 tines.
The tines have increased ground and trash clearance and are arranged in a configuration and angle to give outstanding results in many applications, very active in use, shattering the ground resulting in a very good tilth
Flexible, so excellent in rocky conditions by moving around and over large rocks without breaking the combination of tyne and tip is such that the Taege drill will penetrate and give a good tilth in difficult and compacted ground when compared to other drills.
Trash clearance is excellent for a tyne drill because of the tyne action, the spacing and stagger.
Due of the flexibility, good ground contour following is achieved all ground conditions.
In live tests against other brands that pride themselves on their trash clearance design, Taege drills stand out for their excellent trash clearance.
TYNE SPACING
Either 121mm (4 ¾ inch) spacing, giving better coverage, more competition for weeds, or for those who prefer a 150mm (6 inch) spacing this is available.
STANDARD FABRICATED OR THREE PIECE OPTIONAL CAST BOOT/TIPS
Fabricated tips with a tungsten leading edge are standard.
Optional three piece nihard cast boots with a replaceable tip are optional.
Excellent tilth giving excellent strike rate.
Economic to replace.
Quite moist soil conditions can be drilled without blockage.
Lower horse power required
SPONGE SEED METERING
Sponge seed metering system which is very accurate.
It can handle all types of seed and seed mixes and does not damage the seed.
Removal of sponge roller bars is easy for cleaning and storage away from pests and rodents.
COLLECTOR TRAY
A new style seed collector tray can be fitted these slide back and allow for broadcast sowing with the new Taege broadcast system can be fitted. (Optional).
Large calibration tray for very accurate calibration, for quick easy clean out between seed types
Live run calibration is standard.
ELECTRONIC DRIVE (Taege RC300 computer)
World leading technology, few moving parts only two sprockets and one chain per hopper
Wear is minimal, very easy, quick and accurate to calibrate
Ability to increase or decrease seeding rate on the move from your tractor seat.
25 calibration settings can be stored per hopper and named as you wish.
Switch to any of these saved settings and start drilling even without the need to recalibrate.
Each saved crop setting has the facility to have an alternate rate programmed, so that an alternate seeding rate can be selected instantly at the push of a button. This feature is excellent when used for repairing grass grub damaged areas and also used in variable soil conditions.
Built in area meter, speedometer, voltmeter and diagnostics.
The last five “area resets” are stored automatically for each crop setting.
TAEGE TINE HARROWS
Once fitted to your implement they can be left there due to their versatility. When the rear draw bar is lifted the Taege Tyne Harrows lift which allows reversing into corners etc
No sideways slippage or roll up occurs on hills when compared to chain type harrows.
Trash build up is better managed and does not ball or roll as with chain harrows.
Taege Tyne Harrows come in one or two pieces depending on width, they pivot and rotate to allow for contour following.
Excellent coverage and levelling is achieved in both cultivated and direct drilling applications.
When not required they can be lifted out of the way.
Top mechanical link is optional allowing very light to heavy pressure on tynes depending on soil conditions.
